Pal-O-Mine offers Equine Assisted Corporate Training, an innovative and experiential program offered to corporations and other businesses that wish to improve various skills in their teams. Our program uses team building exercises with our horses and facilitators to develop leadership, communication, personal growth, corporate culture, and positive team development. Our facilitators will tackle real world challenges occurring in your business, or simply focus on giving you and your team a fun and different training experience, all based on the needs of the team. Looking to give back to the community? We also offer corporate community service programs, which also help to build bonds, promote positive culture, and create a positive and meaningful impact. We also offer a yearly golf outing and Day at the Races at Belmont Race Track. Your organization is welcome to attend or provide sponsorship!
Families
Pal-O-Mine extends its services to a wide variety of family situations. Our families include those with a member with a disability, mental illness, domestic violence, divorce, estrangement, trauma, adoption/foster care, high level of parental stress, and many other issues. Families are welcome to a wide range of services, a network of other families with similar needs, and community resources. Children and adults may participate in therapeutic riding or hippotherapy, competition, summer camp, respite and work study/J-STEP program. Families in need of counseling or other mental health services are encouraged to utilize our Equine Assisted Psychotherapy program.
Throughout the year, we invite our current families, and members of the community, to come and enjoy our special events. Each year we hold an Easter Eggstavaganza, Halloween Spookfest and Horse Shows that are great family events.
Government Agencies
Pal-O-Mine also extends its’ services to government agencies in order to bring the quality of care to those living in group homes or institutional settings. We are able to provide recreational activities, group visits and activities, therapeutic horseback riding, job coaching, and mental health services. In the past we have worked with many different organizations and settings. These include: AHRC, Developmental Disabilities Institute, PLUS Group Home, Life’s WORC, Creedmoor Psychiatric Center, MercyFirst, South Oaks Hospital, and many more. Schools
Is your school in need of an innovative and exceptional program for your students? Equine Assisted Learning may just be your solution! In recent years, New York State has emphasized partnerships between schools and community organizations in order to better fulfill the needs of students. EAL offers an experiential experience to learning, and incorporates typical skills and expectations and enhances these skills through horse-based activities. Our program uses the most effective EAL curriculums and activities, and our staff are highly trained and respected in their field. We focus on working with students with the greatest needs. Our students have been cognitively/emotionally/physically disabled, at risk populations, students with behavioral and social difficulties and previously incarcerated youth. The skills the students develop can include:
Improvements in social interaction, self esteem, respect, reading/writing/language/math skills, character education, concentration, conceptual skills
Decreases in absenteeism, aggressive/oppositional behaviors, self destructive behaviors, and issues with peers/teachers/family members
